Men at Work
Transcore are back at Martin’s Ravine addressing the problem at the bottom end that wasn’t, apparently, part of the main flood restoration contract. I can’t work out what the men have been doing in the big hole they excavated but today noticed they’d fashioned a quite elegant concrete chute that may take excess floodwater down the slipway rather than destroy the footpath leading onto Royal Parade. I expect there’ll be an opportunity to photograph the chute in action before winter’s out. As you can see, the weather today was glorious.
